Established in 1993, Aunt Jan’s Pet Sitting is a professional, experienced, reliable, and fully insured pet sitting service. We provide loving care for pets in their own homes when their families are unable to be there for them. Based in West Deptford, we serve Riverwinds, Thorofare, Woodbury, Mantua, Wenonah and other nearby areas.

Although we continue to provide daytime walking and playtime for dogs (and we adore them), we’re especially happy caring for the cats in our community. If you’re like most people, you prefer not to ask friends and family to interrupt their schedules to assist you with your cherished pets while you’re away on vacation or business. And the thought of those big kitty-cat eyes, peering sadly at you when you walk away from a kennel before a trip, is impossible to bear.

That’s where we come in!

Because we know how stressful it is for your cats to be transported to a kennel or left in a strange place in your absence, we offer visits for your cats in their own home. With Aunt Jan’s Pet Sitting, your cats will stay in their own secure, familiar environment and follow their customary routine and diet. Your beloved pets will avoid exposure to illnesses from other animals and receive the individual attention and care that a kennel simply cannot provide. Most importantly, we’ll love your cats and fill in for you as completely as we can when you can’t be there.

You can travel with peace of mind, knowing that you’ve left your home and your pets in our competent hands. Having had cats all our lives and having cared for many, many clients’ cats over the past 20 years, we are prepared to give your pets — whether they are kittens, geriatric cats, or cats with special needs — all the attention they deserve when you have to be away from them.

While you’re away, Aunt Jan’s Pet Sitting provides the following services for your cats and your home:

• Feeding and providing fresh water
• Administering medications and providing other specially requested care
• Giving lots and lots of love, interaction, and play
• Brushing or combing your cats
• Cleaning and changing litter boxes
• Obtaining emergency medical treatment should your pet become ill
• Reporting to you by phone or email upon your request
• Watering plants
• Bringing in mail and newspapers
• Placing trash at curbside

Our rates are reasonable, and we charge a flat rate regardless of the number of pets in your household. We devote 30 minutes to each visit. We know that each cat has a different disposition, personality, and physical requirements. Because of this, it often takes a special person to give your cats the love and care that you want them to receive. We pride ourselves in making every effort to be caring and patient friends for your cats, so that when you leave, they’ll feel as comfortable with us as possible. Your pets’ needs, and your instructions about what you would like us to do during each visit, provide the outline for our care for your pets and your home.
